DHL eCommerce has acquired AJEX, a specialist in Middle East e-commerce distribution and industrial logistics, for an undisclosed amount. This acquisition sees DHL eCommerce integrate AJEX's extensive operations, further solidifying its presence and service capabilities in key growth markets. AJEX has built a significant network across Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, US, UK, Turkey, South Africa, and China, supported by over 60 facilities, 1,000 vehicles, and 1,800 professionals, offering a broad spectrum of services from parcel distribution to cold chain solutions. DHL eCommerce, a global leader in e-commerce logistics, aims to leverage this regional strength.
This strategic acquisition is expected to significantly enhance DHL eCommerce's reach within the Middle East, particularly in the rapidly expanding e-commerce sector. AJEX’s comprehensive service portfolio, including road, ocean, and airfreight, alongside warehousing and specialized healthcare logistics, complements DHL eCommerce's existing global network. The move is designed to provide customers with expanded and more integrated logistics solutions, bridging global connectivity with deep regional expertise.
The synergies from this acquisition are anticipated to streamline operations and elevate service offerings. AJEX’s established infrastructure and local market understanding will now be combined with DHL eCommerce’s international capabilities, allowing for more efficient end-to-end delivery services. This integration builds upon DHL eCommerce’s earlier investment, having acquired a minority stake in AJEX in February 2025 to support its growth and expansion.
The combined entity is positioned to become a more formidable player in the global logistics landscape, particularly in serving the unique needs of consumers and industries in the Middle East. Customers can expect enhanced speed, access, and personalized care through an expanded network and a wider array of integrated logistics solutions, driving continued growth and service innovation.
