ITP Aero

Aviation and Aerospace Component Manufacturing

ITP Aero, a leading global aerospace engine and component company, has acquired Aero Norway AS, a specialized CFM56® engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) provider, for an undisclosed amount. This acquisition marks a strategic expansion for ITP Aero into the critical MRO sector, specifically targeting the widely used CFM56 engine family.

Aero Norway, based at Stavanger Airport, Sola, Norway, operates as an authorized CFM repair station. Its modern facility is dedicated to providing high-quality MRO services for CFM56-3, CFM56-5B, and CFM56-7B engines, offering a comprehensive suite of services including engine repair and overhaul, test cell runs, full restoration, back shop parts repair, and non-destructive testing. The company, which purchased the Norway Engine Centre from Pratt & Whitney in 2013, is recognized for its precision, quality, and efficiency in delivering reliable engine support programs.

The strategic rationale behind ITP Aero's purchase of Aero Norway centers on enhancing its aftermarket services portfolio and strengthening its presence in the MRO segment. Aero Norway’s specialized expertise and established facility for CFM56 engines will directly complement ITP Aero’s broader capabilities, allowing for expanded service offerings and deeper market penetration in critical engine maintenance. Synergies are expected in operational efficiencies, knowledge sharing, and an integrated approach to serving a wider range of aerospace customers.

This takeover aims to create a more comprehensive aerospace services entity. By combining ITP Aero’s global reach with Aero Norway’s specialized MRO capabilities, the newly combined operation is positioned to offer an even more robust and integrated suite of engine support solutions, addressing growing demand within the aviation industry for reliable and efficient maintenance services.
