Prysmian has acquired ACSM for an undisclosed amount. ACSM is a global leading provider of subsea services with 25 years of expertise within the offshore energy industry. Headquartered in Vigo, Spain, and with operational bases in the Canary Islands, Mexico, and UAE, ACSM delivers a whole range of offshore services, from fleet and personnel management to ROV Inspections and Surveys throughout the life-cycle of a subsea asset. Its services span pre-engineering assessment, construction, installation, inspection, maintenance, repair (IMR), and decommissioning for the Oil & Gas, submarine cables, and renewables markets.
This acquisition is strategically aimed at enhancing Prysmian's capabilities within the rapidly expanding offshore energy sector. By integrating ACSM's comprehensive subsea service offerings, Prysmian is set to strengthen its position, particularly in the submarine cables and renewables markets. ACSM's deep expertise and established operational footprint are expected to provide significant value, allowing for a more integrated approach to complex subsea projects.
The synergy between the two companies is anticipated to create a more robust and diversified service portfolio. ACSM's specialized services, covering the entire lifecycle of subsea assets, will complement Prysmian's existing strategic objectives, enabling the combined entity to offer end-to-end solutions to clients. This includes leveraging ACSM's fleet and personnel management alongside its advanced ROV inspection and survey capabilities.
The integration of ACSM's global operational bases will also expand the combined entity's reach and responsiveness in key offshore regions. This strategic move is expected to position the unified company as a more comprehensive and competitive provider in the global subsea services market, capable of delivering enhanced value and efficiency across a broader spectrum of offshore energy projects.
